Tips for Taking Good Photos

What is a good photo? One that tells the story that you want it to, that represents what you experienced when you took it. Certain tools can help you take the type of photos that you want, both technical tools, such as camera settings, and artistic tools, like composition and framing. In this class, we'll cover the basics of camera optics and equipment, then review some technical and artistic tools. We'll focus (get it?) on using the cameras most of us carry around every day, our cellphones, and spend time outdoors taking photos and practicing what we just learned. There will be plenty of time for questions and answers and one-on-one guidance from the instructor.

Note: This class was developed for the North Penn School District's Knights in Training for Employment Program.
