Basic Flower Gardening

This class is geared toward the beginning gardener or the experienced gardener who is looking for a few additional tips on how to establish communities of flowering, non-woody plants in the home landscape. We shall begin with an overview of design and planning a flower bed or small meadow, followed by a discussion of site assessment and preparation, and then cover plant selection, planting, and maintenance. The class also includes recommendations for low-maintenance, native flowering plants for sun and shade.
